Emily Norton, Senior Consultant

Emily has nearly 20 years of social marketing experience in corporate, public policy, and political arenas, focused primarily on energy and the environment. She has developed considerable expertise in helping organizations adopt sustainable business practices. As a result of her work, major corporations are reducing their energy bills, driving cleaner cars, manufacturing more energy-efficient products, and purchasing fuel-efficient hybrid trucks. Clients include EDF and US EPA’s ENERGY STAR and SmartWay programs.

Emily previously served as Massachusetts Director of the Democratic Leadership Council, Senior Consultant and Sales Associate for Clean Air Action Corporation, Senior Project Associate at the Progressive Policy Institute, and at the US Department of State as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans, Environment, and Science.

Earlier in her career, Emily served as a consultant to the World Bank, finance director for a US congressional campaign, and Recycling Coordinator for the city of Burlington, Vermont.

Emily graduated from the University of Vermont and holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
